The fourth installment is ready! This was a really fun theme with so many possibilities. My head was swimming with ideas and I have several shots that I didn’t use for this one. Krysten’s image is, as always, so lovely. Her work is always so light and airy and just to die for. I love it.

So here is the fourth collaboration, “round.” As usual, my shot is on the right, Krysten’s is on the left. And yes, I stood out in the freezing cold early one morning to get that. My neighbors must have thought I was a loony, out there blowing bubbles at 8am in 25* weather. We photographers do some crazy things for the shot sometimes!

And I’m hoping that the settings I tweaked on my Facebook page will get this one automatically published so all you facebook fans get a chance to pop over here too! It is so worth it!

Here is the third installment of my personal photo project collaboration with my good friend Krysten. It is a bit later than usual, as they had some wicked windstorms out there and she was without power for a few days! The theme for no. 03 was “blue.” My photo on the right, Krysten’s on the left. And I absolutely *heart* her photo.

So I officially love this project. It is so fun to learn about a friend through photos. And to just smoosh together our ideas. I’m totally loving it! It is allowing me to get really creative, forcing me to be very intentional, and the best part is the sharing – with Krysten and with you all!

The theme for this one was “breakfast.” My shot on the right, Krysten’s is on the left.

I am really excited to be embarking on a journey with a really great friend of mine. She and I truly are kindred souls. We met at a time in our lives when we were both expanding our families, and we have shared a journey discovering photography, opening a business and caring for our children. Our middle ones are just a weeks apart and our baby girls actually share a birthday. We have gone through so much together the last several years and I am honored to call her a friend.

Oh. And we have never met in person. I plan to remedy that some day.

Krysten is the owner and photographer of Sweet Fields Photography in Victoria, BC. She is sweet, funny, a great mom and a very talented photographer. And I am completely stoked about doing this project with her this year!

There are no hard and fast rules, just that we pick a theme and each take a photo based on that theme. Then we share them, together. And learn about each other through photographs.

So without further delay, here is no. 01 – sweet. Krysten on the left, mine on the right.
