It was a little chilly, but everyone was such troopers!

We went to do some shots in the lovely fall leaves as well, but I’m saving those for the family for now I have one more for you though. I have photographed a lot of families in my time as a photographer. I really and sincerely enjoy the time I get to spend with all kinds of families. But my favorite images from the sessions are always, always, always ones like this. <3

And they are always up for just about anything! They helped me try out a new location I’ve found… and it is just spectacular. Probably my new favorite spot.

I met this awesome extended family recently during their stay in town. What a great group! They had me in stitches during most of the session. It was easy to see that they just love life and each other. I mean, just look at these two. How could you NOT smile?

We got to do the session down on a private beach where they were staying with this FABULOUS old tree that was half buried in the sand. I loved it! I wish I could take it with me every time I go on a beach shoot.

It was such a gorgeous evening the night of the session too. Not a cloud in the sky. We had SUCH a gorgeous sunset… the best I’ve had during a session all summer!

It was SO great to meet all of you… and I’d love to photograph you again next summer!!

I was lucky enough to be able to photograph this sweet family. They were in Grand Haven on vacation from a land locked state in mid-America. So to the beach we went! I have had such great luck this summer with beautiful evenings when I have session scheduled out on the beach, and this one was no different. I LOVE it when West Michigan weather cooperates!

These two took to the sand like fish to water. I had a great time getting to know them a bit. I absolutely adore how much these two siblings just ooze love for each other. I love when it is so visible!

And such beautiful children as well! Check out the eyes on this little guy. Gorgeous.

And this one? SO gorgeous. Dad is going to be beating boys away with a stick in a few years!

And I can’t leave without posting up one of my favorite shots…. a family silhouette. I adore getting this type of shot for the families I photograph. I love that it is just a little different from your standard family portrait. I love that the family was willing to stick around for the sun to get low enough. I love that the weather cooperated.

One day I’m going to get one like this of MY family and post it HUGE on my wall.

I love how each family is different and interacts differently. I love seeing how they relate to each other. I love seeing how much fun people that love each other can have.

This family was no different. I had a great evening with them, getting to know them and watching them play and interact on the beach. And I managed to get myself soaking wet in a wave I wasn’t expecting too.

It was such a gorgeous night and I got so many beautiful images for them to choose from. Here are just a few.

This sweet couple came all the way from Virginia to have their photos taken at the beach! Well, that and for a family vacation They are expecting their first sweet baby this coming fall and I could tell right away how excited they are about it! Thankfully we got some relief from the heat wave on the evening of their session. The light was perfect. Mom and dad were fabulous at pretending I wasn’t there and just doing their thing. I love it when that happens. There was so much love and so much connection during this session; I just love it!

The weather this week has been so gorgeous! It has me thinking of summer which will be here before you know it. My kids only have a couple weeks left of school and I can’t believe it! This school year feels like it has just flown by!

This weather is also getting me anxious for summer sessions. I can’t wait to get back out to the beach and photograph some beautiful families! Session slots are filling up so if you are thinking of scheduling a session for sometime this summer please get in touch with me soon! As of today I only have have three openings in June, one in July and four in August.

I am currently searching for some outgoing and involved students that are currently juniors, set to graduate in 2012 to be my Senior Models for this coming season. I’m looking for both guys and girls.

The Senior model program is designed to be a complementary relationship. You promote my business by showing around the images we take together this spring and handing out cards and allowing me to use the images on my website, and in return you get a couple of free sessions and specials and discounts.

There aren’t many requirements to the program, basically the more you put in, the more you will get out. Below are the basic details. Discuss them with you parent/guardian, be sure to email me at michelle@michellelynnphotos.com if you have any questions or for more details.

Requirements

In order to be eligible for the Senior model Program you must:

-Be a current junior, set to graduate in 2012
-Attend school in the Lakeshore area
-Be willing to promote my business by passing out cards, showing off images, sharing images and my info on Facebook, etc
-Be willing to work exclusively with me (i.e. I am the only photographer who will do your senior portraits)
- Be available in May or early June 2011 for a model mini-session
- Allow me to use the images on my website, blog, Facebook, advertising, etc. (IMPORTANT: parent/guardian must also agree and sign a release to allow me to use the images in this way)

-You will receive two complimentary sessions with me (one in spring and one late summer or early fall) and discounts/specials on prints and products based on referrals.

I am just over the moon for both of them… how could I not be?

I am so glad they asked me and our sister-in-law to take some engagement shots for them. Mike is in publishing and Amy kind of adores books so it was only fitting to hit a bookstore for their shoot. So here they are, two beautiful people that I love dearly, in love.

This one is my absolute favorite.
