Hi everyone!

The weather this week has been so gorgeous! It has me thinking of summer which will be here before you know it. My kids only have a couple weeks left of school and I can’t believe it! This school year feels like it has just flown by!

This weather is also getting me anxious for summer sessions. I can’t wait to get back out to the beach and photograph some beautiful families! Session slots are filling up so if you are thinking of scheduling a session for sometime this summer please get in touch with me soon! As of today I only have have three openings in June, one in July and four in August.

Welcome to my new site!

I am so pleased with how the new site came together! I made a few changes… you will notice a slight color tweak from my old site. This one is much more me! I’ve updated everything and I’m so ready to book sessions for this spring and summer!

Now that the site is live I can finish up the last few things I need to here and then…

Bring on the warm weather!

I am always on the look out for new, beautiful and modern products to offer to my clients. But I will only offer products that I am really excited about. I am so pleased to be offering two new items that I really truly love… Memory boxes and custom albums. Both items are currently available a la carte, and they will be worked into collections with my 2011 pricing structure.

First up, the Memory Box. The Memory Box is a beautiful way to store the proof set from your digital collection or images you don’t want to display all the time. It will keep all the images you are rotating in and out of your frames in one place so they don’t get lost. It is also a great keepsake for images of baby’s first year. Or use it as a modern twist on an album, and place it on your coffee table for guests to look through. The Memory Box is sized to hold 5×7 photos. There is plenty of room inside to place other keepsakes or trinkets as well. The front, back and spine of the box are fully customizable with names, dates, and designs for a truly one of a kind product. The possibilities are endless! I love this product for so many reasons!

And next, I am also offering custom albums. The albums I am offering provide a traditional way to display the images from your session with a bit of a modern twist – the covers. You can choose from a myriad of colors, textures and fabrics for the cover of your album, from traditional black to apple green to bright orange to snakeskin texture. It is completely up to you! The album is custom created just for you with the cover of your choosing. These albums are available in square ratios, either 5×5 or 8×8. I love the 5×5 size… it is just so darn cute! And small enough to fit in your purse so you can take it anywhere to show off your beautiful family.

I have really been enjoying my leave and spending the summer focusing on my family. It has been so busy, trying to keep with with my now three kids! But a good busy.

As much as I have been enjoying my leave though, I’m also getting the itch to get out and photograph some lovely families, children, and babies again! So I am now booking sessions, starting in October. October is such a lovely time here in West Michigan, it truly is a perfect time to get those family portraits done! Session spaces are limited, so be sure to book early.

On a related note, I have decided to not offer holiday mini sessions this year. There is just too much going on with my family this fall! Instead, everyone that books a session this fall will receive with their order their choice of either a complimentary digital holiday card with an image from the session OR one (1) digital image at 40% off ($36). The digital card must be chosen from one of my designs and can be printed as 5×7 photos at the photo lab of your choice. The digital image will include a full print release.

Remember that sessions are limited, so book early!

I have only a limited number of sessions remaining for this spring and summer. I am now booking into April and May, with 2 sessions available for each month. I also have one session available in early June. If you are thinking about getting portraits done this spring or are expecting a baby this spring or early summer, please book now so that I can get you in.

I will not be taking on any sessions for the summer after the first week of June as I will be going on maternity leave.
